Under the founding direction of Serguei Makarov in 2004, an ensemble of passionate and dedicated, trained dancers came together to form the Suzirya Ukrainian Dance Theatre. Suzirya, meaning a constellation of many stars, is founded on the eloquent fusion of ballet and traditional folk dance.

 

Suzirya entertains audiences worldwide with countless choreographic compositions embodying the culture and spirit of Ukraine.  Under an umbrella of an artistic team and guests, Suzirya shines with a display of magnificent combinations of music,  dazzling costumes, and skilled acrobatics, ballet, and folk dance.

 

Suzirya Ukrainian Dance Theatre is also more than just a dance company, we also believe in giving back to the community, and we strive to support other organizations successes and participate in various events throughout the year.
